PHOTO NOTES
Add a text or logo watermark to your photos
Keep a watermark readable, well placed and consistent across a batch.
Choose a useful mark
A watermark can identify a photographer, a business or a draft. It is a visible label, not a way to prevent copying or establish ownership. Use artwork and words you have permission to use. Keep an unmarked original so you can export again later.
Use text or your own logo
Open Watermark Photo and select photos. Text supports a short name, caption or copyright notice with a colour and optional contrasting outline. For a logo, choose a JPG, PNG or static WebP image up to 5 MB and 4 megapixels. PNG and WebP can retain a transparent background; SVG and animated files are not supported.
Set relative size and placement
Watermark width is a percentage of each photo width. Choose a corner or the centre, then adjust the margin as a percentage of the shorter image side. The tool fits the mark within the canvas if needed. The same settings apply across the batch, but landscape and portrait photos still need individual review.
Balance opacity and readability
A low opacity may disappear on a busy background. A high opacity can obscure the subject. Text outlining can help on varied backgrounds. Process and inspect the actual result; changing settings does not change a previously exported file until you process again.
Export in the right order
Watermarks are flattened into the result. Resize photos first, add the mark next, and compress the final file if necessary. Continue editing passes one result directly into another tool without server uploads. Choose PNG for intermediate edits if you want to avoid repeated lossy encodes. Download the final files or ZIP and inspect them before sharing.
