PHOTO NOTES

Convert and compress a batch of photos locally

Use shared settings, handle failures and download an organised ZIP.

Choose a coherent batch

Batch processing works well when your photos need the same format or compression settings. Convert Format, Compress Photo, Photo Enhance and Remove Metadata accept up to 12 files, with a combined 60 MB limit and 20 MB per file. Every image must be within 16 megapixels.

Apply one set of settings

Choose files together or drag them onto the selector. The controls apply to all selected files. Crop, blur and pixelate take one image because their coordinates are specific to a picture. Split different sizes or editing needs into separate sessions.

Allow processing to finish

Photos are decoded and processed one at a time to reduce peak memory use. The progress message identifies the current file. You can cancel between processing steps; the current canvas operation may need to finish first. Reset releases the session and its object URLs.

Review successes and failures

A corrupt or unsupported file gets a useful error while other files can still finish. Successful results show names, dimensions and sizes. A compression result can be larger than the input; check it instead of assuming every photo shrank. Browser memory may impose limits below the stated maximum.

Download and verify

Download results individually or use Download ZIP for multiple successes. Output names have an index to prevent collisions. The ZIP contains successful outputs only, and the page reports rejected files separately. Unzip and inspect the files before deleting originals. The ZIP is generated locally with a self-hosted library. For another edit, use Continue editing beside an individual result. The next tool receives that result in browser memory, with the usual input limits.
